Hi, I’m Desi.
I have baked since I was a teenager, but sourdough came later and took over. It started with a few failed starters and a lot of late-night reading. About two years ago it turned into The Bake-Keeper, my cottage bakery in the Fort Lauderdale area of South Florida.
I bake sourdough loaves, cookies, bagels and pastries to order, twice a week. Real starter, real time, no shortcuts. I have worked in accounting for twenty years and have been a CPA for ten of them, so every formula is weighed to the gram.
How it works
Orders are local pickup only, with no shipping. Pick a Tuesday or Friday, choose a pickup window, and I send the address once your payment is in. The letter-shaped baguettes are a favorite for parties and graduations. I also teach sourdough classes and sell starter kits for anyone who wants to bake at home.
